The Sunday Film Club has been there at the beginning of Ryan Coogler’s Sinners film (2025) extraordinary journey together for both Director, Producer, Writer (Coogler) and lead actor (B. Jordan). From us being invited by Warner Bros to the IMAX media screening last April in central London before it was released worldwide last summer, to watching it’s cultural impact, and further elevation of the horror genre thereafter and being apart of the Q and A and watching another screening this time in 70mm with Miles Caton, Ryan Coogler and Miles Caton as guests in London.. We have all witnessed it’s award laden victories and recognition across the board from BAFTAS, Grammys, SAG-AFTRA’s, and more culminating in Sinners record-breaking 16 Oscar nominations ,the most in history at the 98th Academy Awards in 2026. It was a massive triumph and vindication for the cast, crew and everybody involved in this beautiful, hybrid of horror, comedy- drama, musical, and period piece.
