Ana De Armas was born in Havana, Cuba, where she always had a passion and talent for performing at an early age. She would go on to study at the National Theatre of Havana where she graduated after 4 years. At 16 years-old she would make her first film Virgin Rose (2006)-directed by Manuel Guiterrez Aragon. She would later move to Spain and a decade later to Los Angeles, California in 2014. It would be the young Cuban actresses appearance in the psychological thriller/horror Knock Knock (2015) a role where she would gain notoriety and exposure from western audiences as her first English-speaking role, and the first film I became aware of her talents and saw her act in. She would be on a path of starring in a variety of different roles from boxing drama Hearts of Stone (2016) ,Sci-Fi action sequel Blade Runner 2049 (2017)to her truly star making role as a innocent nurse in the award-winning smash hit murder mystery opposite Daniel Craig in Knives Out (2019, James Bond’s No Time to Die (2021) as a Bond girl and secret agent opposite Daniel Craig, once again which showed her ability to do action sequences and show physicality. She would elevate her status even more when she would star as Hollywood and film legend Marilyn Monroe/Norma Jeane inBlonde (2022) she would get nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars proving she had truly arrived, which was produced by Netflix. She would star in another action, espionage film The Gray Man 2023 opposite, Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Jessica Henwick, Rene Jean Page and Billy Bob Thornton. This would prepare the Academy Award nominee for her most challenging role to date, starring opposite Keanu Reeves once again From the World of John Wick: Ballerina (2025) as a lethal assassin Eve, a summer action-packed starring role for Ana De Armas.
